Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear Allyson. So BTDT.

I am zinging on caffeine and wishing the grading fairies were here.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thyroid cancer, spread to the lungs. Sparking off a recent conversation in Bitches, apparently they might not tell her mother. Although her mother is likely going to visit her. I'm not sure how they're going to handle that. No decision has been made about treatment, and we're not aware of a prognosis. This is the cousin whose brother was killed at 18 when struck by a bus a few months after their father died, so it'd just be the mother left, and one remaining child if she doesn't make it out clear. I can't imagine.

Our wings are not tired.

Such awful news, ita. Whatever ~ma is needed for your cousin.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How awful, ita.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

sending out the ma~~~, ita. This sounds like a rough one

meara, DH has high standards about how the kitchen should be kept. But somehow he thinks if he makes it sparkle once a month, it will stay that way, even if he leaves dishes in the sink.

eta: Vacations always leave me with extra work. We were gone for a week. The house needed serious cleaning -- and the disaster cat! with expldong hair was home -- and he doesn't clean. But I have gotten an amzing amount done today.

Oh ita, such sad circumstances.

With a spouse, at least you have someone to blame. Here the messiness is all on me. I've tried, but it's hard to hold cats responsible for being out of clean forks.

Compassionately intolerant

Oh my ita. much ~ma for your family.

Cleaning requires incentives for me...when I'm not on my massive binges, which are clearly neuroses based.

Something that helps for me is making my own soft scrub. It actually makes me WANT to scrub the tub, no lie.

    • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • dish washing liquid to create paste
  • 10 drops essential oil (I like cinnamon or verbena)

My cleaning happens thusly: I clean for 5-10 minutes, goof off for about a half hour. This cycle continues until bedtime where I begin the cleaning deathmarch where I can't go to bed until things are clean. Which becomes things are passable usually around 1:30 AM.

Because books.

Much ~ma, ita. I'm so sorry.

I can't even think about it properly.
