Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

Not silly. I totally spaced on that too. I forgot how awesome it is to have the Buffista hivemind so we don't have to write this shit down.

So when was the first sandwich reference? I knew it was a callback, but that's about it.

I actually want Gonzalez to be right and Coulson to join the Real Shield. For one, I'm bored of Director!Coulson and much prefer when he's getting yelled at by superiors and ignoring them. Also, it's so much fun to watch Coulson when he's humbled.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Back in season 1. Simmons packs Fitz his favorite sandwich when he's going out on a Field mission with Ward. And then Ward throws it away because they're being hunted by people with dogs.

So where the heck is Fitz going? The Sandbox?

Thanks! That was some good Ward/Fitz bonding.

(ETA block quote formatting so I look less inept.)

Okay, someone please remind me how to do that quote the other person's line thing again.

I wonder how many people in the cast knew Ward was going to go so operatically evil. Maybe slip the actor a note: "By the way, you're evil, don't tell anybody".

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

A > at the beginning of the line will do it. Also, check out the "quick-edit formatting" link above the post box whenever you need a reminder.

Ah. Thanks. I actually read the quick-edit thing twice and couldn't find it, because it's only right freakin' there! So embarrassing. I must have logged a couple of thousand posts here between 2002 and 2009 and now I can't remember how to do a simple block quote.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Wolfram, it's good to see you posting.

I would have to watch the first season again (which I probably won't ever do again ever because of the dreadfulness of most of it), but I don't recall there being any ambiguity about his performance to indicate that he might have even known himself that he was playing evil. Which was the only thing I hated about that twist. Evil Ward works better for me though. I hope he doesn't get cursed with a soul again anytime soon.
