Buffy ,'Sleeper'
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

Ah. Thanks. I actually read the quick-edit thing twice and couldn't find it, because it's only right freakin' there! So embarrassing. I must have logged a couple of thousand posts here between 2002 and 2009 and now I can't remember how to do a simple block quote.
Wolfram, it's good to see you posting.
I wonder how many people in the cast knew Ward was going to go so operatically evil. Maybe slip the actor a note: "By the way, you're evil, don't tell anybody".
I would have to watch the first season again (which I probably won't ever do again ever because of the dreadfulness of most of it), but I don't recall there being any ambiguity about his performance to indicate that he might have even known himself that he was playing evil. Which was the only thing I hated about that twist. Evil Ward works better for me though. I hope he doesn't get cursed with a soul again anytime soon.
Thanks, sj. It's good to be around again.
I like Evil Ward much better too, but I really think he is irredeemable at this point. I hope the writers don't ever try to go there.
It's amazing how much more I "like" Ward when he's evil. It's like the actor is even more good-looking, as just one shallow example.
It's like Ward is more relaxed now he doesn't have to pretend not to be a psychopath anymore. Like his woodenness in the first part of Season 1 is a sign of his own cover up.
I want to say I read an interview where the actor said he wasn't told until an episode or two before the reveal. He actually thought they were calling him in to tell him they were killing him off.
Marvel developing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff for ABC!
We’re told a spinoff is being developed by SHIELD executive producer Jeffrey Bell (Angel, The X-Files) and SHIELD writer Paul Zbyszewski (Lost, Hawaii Five-0).
However, story elements that are still to come on SHIELD this year will be used to lay the groundwork for the potential new series. So by the end of the season – assuming the details for this project haven’t already leaked, which is rather unlikely – the spinoff concept should be clear.
SHIELD currently averages 7.4 million viewers and a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49, when including seven days of DVR playback. If greenlit, the spinoff would expand Marvel’s TV empire yet again. On ABC there’s SHIELD and Agent Carter (that latter, we’re told, has about a roughly 60 percent chance of returning for a second season).
Iiiiiinteresting. Possibly a Mockingbird show?
