And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

am I just totally not remembering Skye's mom getting put back together??

I don't think so, but between Cal's surgical skills and her healing, it makes sense. I'm starting to feel sorry for him. Yeah, mad as a bag of cats, but his goal has always been Daisy/Skye.

I totally called the booby-traps and "need a cooperative Phil Coulson" thing. Assuming that wasn't doubletalk on Fitz and Simmons part.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I need to go back and rewatch; my roommate insisted on talking at me throughout most of the episode. I cut her slack, though, as she got some not so good family news and needed to get it out of her system. Good thing I bought a season pass on Amazon.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, FitzSImmons. Hooray sandwich!

"Call me Mike" made me very happy.

I am so confused about Skye's mom.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

!!! Skye's mother!

But good on them for not wasting Dichen Lachman.

And FitzSimmons! Yay!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That was a fun episode. Agreed that Bobbi seems to be having second thoughts about the real-not-real SHIELD. I was thrilled to see JAR and Dichen again.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I was so over-joyed at the reunion of Fitz-Simmons and the sandwich callback at the end. Though part of me was waiting for the cab driver to be revealed to be Ward. Just because way too often on these types of shows, that seems to be what happens when we don't see the driver before they get in.

ETA: To clarify, Ward kidnapping him, not them being in cahoots.

I loved the bit in the preview about "You can't hurt the mountain." It's why I love mountains.

(insert gratuitous disclaimer about geology and volcanology and seismology and all that)

Yes, I was all "Show the driver! OMG, who is the driver! Don't trust him!"

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'll just echo everything Dana said.

Also, does it sound like they're saying Real Shield ™ or is it just me?
