I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Apparently ratings for Agent Carter are not great: [link]

I am hoping the Marvel Machine behind the show is big enough to give us a second series after this one wraps up, even if the rating remains subpar. It's got almost universal critical praise and solid DVR playback numbers on its side, so here's keeping our fingers crossed.

I can see where some people's disappointment comes from. They were expecting action, and a lot of it is being a woman in post-war America. Heck, I was expecting more action. Kudos for playing with expectations, and a mini-series is a great place to do it, but a ratings slump is not surprising.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

As much as I like action, I think there is plenty of room for a show with a little less action and more just sneaking around. This show has a level of nail-biting that comes from suspense rather than action that I like.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think because that was what they were ostensibly holding him for, they had to release him then?

That makes sense. Thanks everyone.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

They can, however, look at the police report and verify that it was submitted right after the explosion, which still makes him look guilty. I thought it was pretty weak plotting myself.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I'm a little surprised that Peggy thought that telling the rest of the SSR guys that she'd been doing her own investigation was going to work out. So far they seem to have been showing most of the SSR as pretty terrible at spycraft (these are the ancestors of SHIELD? Really??) vs. Peggy as a good / experienced spy, but then this? C'mon, Peggy, you survived WW fucking II, you know better.

I saw it as a "Now they'll have to respect me! Any reasonable person would!" attempt.

Definitely, though my impression of her was that she was a little more jaded.

Yeah, I was surprised at her naivete at that myself. I hope this series ends the way the short did, with Howard calling her up to help with Shield.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Interrogation!Jarvis was kinda hot, I thought. Not when he was BEING interrogated, but when he was grilling Peggy. We likes him.
