Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like that Ward was dissociating itself from Garrett, but not renouncing his had ways. Made sense, was satisfying.

I really wish that had been on the same night as the SPN finale, fuckit. I was excited by SPN, but this was so much more wrappy uppy and punchy (the SPN finale will not be that witty nor have as good "surprise" guests. But statistically will be weepier and punchier. For me, punching, I mean.)

Brings the season full circle.

I also like they said something we knew really well, although I wouldn't have guessed it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My two holy shit moments were Nick Fury showing up to save Fitzsimmons and the nail gun. The nail gun was deeply satisfying.

It did strike me as surprisingly violent for a 7/8 PM show. Though very cool.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

YES. I was afraid it would be a simple leap from "Whoa, Garrett's crazy!" to "Okay, I'll be good now." Nope, a simple leap from "Whoa, Garrett's crazy!" to "Okay, I'll threaten to rape Skye."

I think they do intend to have him renounce his evil ways eventually. We'll see if they can pull it off believably.

I also like they said something we knew really well, although I wouldn't have guessed it.

I had totally forgotten it, but I assumed it was something I should have recognized.

It moves to 8/9 PM next season! MORE VIOLENCE.

You mean The Goldbergs will no longer darken my screen? I don't have to worry about getting out of work dead on time!

It was their thing in the first episode--I may have heard it three times, at least twice.

Oh, I'm sure it was repeatedly said in the first episode. But that was months ago, and they didn't stick it in the previouslies! How am I supposed to know what I'm supposed to remember if it's not in the previouslies?

It was in the previouslies, the "We're a team" thing. I thought they just put it in there for pathos' sake.

How am I supposed to know what I'm supposed to remember if I don't pay enough attention to the previouslies?
