Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers

TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It's a bigger breach of board culture, I think, to come in and squelch a conversation because you don't like it.

Oh, please. We've always argued about what's appropriate to talk about where. And at the risk of being accused again of being a killjoy threadnanny, this is not a celebrity gossip thread.

God forbid I someday become rich and famous, because by your logic, I should then expect everyone who knows me to violate all my privacy, because it's no more than I deserve for becoming rich and famous. Frankly, I think it's pretty skeevy to not only want to talk about the personal details of someone's failed marriage, but to ask people who know them to share those details in public.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, please yourself. We've gossiped on this board plenty, including speculation about Nicholas Brendon's alcoholism and how Charisma's drug addictions got her written off the show.

In any event, since there's no prohibition against gossiping, I don't intend to stop if it interests me.

I refer you back to my original comment: If you don't like it avert your eyes.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have no problem with gossip, but I think it goes in Natter.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I agree with Scrappy. Per the slug, this thread is about Joss projects, not Joss's personal life. I'm sorry for making anyone feel uncomfortable.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

At only 15 minutes into the episode, I'm suspecting EVERYONE except Coulson of being the Clairvoyant.

But mostly Agent Hand and Agent Bill Pullman.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So I watched that entire Captain America trailer thinking "Oh, this is the scene that ties that movie into the show!" And then it wasn't. And I was sad, because I was hoping for a Nick Fury scene.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

"Bet the Clairvoyant didn't see that coming"

I was really irritated at that. If you're going to show a goddamn clip from the movie, then announce it as such so I can turn off the TV. I'm going to see the movie! I don't need any more convincing! Like you, I thought it would be a tie-in scene, but I realized it was too good to be a TV scene, and also randomly having a Nick Fury scene including Winter Soldier makes no sense in this particular episode.

But mostly Agent Hand and Agent Bill Pullman.

Aaaaand it looks like it's Agent Hand, as many had predicted. Strange that she's already showing her...hand.

I know we were supposed to have emotions about Skye becoming a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent but I kind of thought she already basically was? Also stop with this Ward/Skye crap.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

yeah, I don't think they really need to convince this audience to see that particular movie.

Hmmm, I find myself in total agreement with everything P-C said. Not a bad a position to be in.

Also, Brad Dourif still does creepy like nobody's business.
