You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

If I'm not looking at the screen I can't tell the difference between Topher and Victor!Topher. But he doesn't creep me out (other than being horrified that he might find out about Bennett again) he just makes me sad knowing two more weeks means no new Victor ever.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

One minor point. I was interrupted a lot during this so I could have have got stuff wrong. But did Topher fix the remote imprint thing by reversing the polarity?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Essentially!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I feel like there were huge plot holes that were essentially unacknowledged in last night's episodes. Mind you, I was entertained and I thought Boyd's fate was fitting.

The biggest plot hole is the role of special snowflake Caroline. Her spinal fluid was supposed to function as a vaccine to the inevitable remote mind wiping. Okay, so far I'm on board with the ridiculous premise. Not as bad as mitochlorins and the force, but okay.

Did Boyd not get that Caroline is no more despite her body's antibodies? If she is shot with the new weapon, she is still Echo. Early on (last season), she was in the doll state and nearly flipped out because she was out in the world as a doll. It took years for her to evolve to Echo.

So how was this vaccine supposed to work?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I feel like there were huge plot holes that were essentially unacknowledged in last night's episodes.

That was me, only for me, Paul and Mellie (sp?) were the weak points of the ep. From why and why the hell M. can resist the sleeper in her, they just were off. Time for action, and time for romance, and the sex with Spike comes later.

I also felt as if some parts of the ep were just "in the air", and I possibly needed more time to digest them.

The awesome, strong points were Addle, Clyde (LOVED the Aimee Mann look!) and Topher, in that order. First ep I didn't disliked Caroline/Echo, too.

Boyd!Doll was indeed heartbreaking.

Man, I cannot wait to have spare time to tear up this show and analyze it. I feel - I know - there's so much to it that what's on the surface. The whole how our emotions, trust and knowledge is constructed in modernity. I feel the show served this notion well, all in all, and maybe ingeniously. I just to find the time to do it.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I love Topher!Victor (or is it Victor!Topher? SHOW, YOU ARE CONFUSING) so damn much. I'm wondering if Fran looped his lines (like they had Summer do young!River in Serenity). Either way, I can't believe we only get one more hour of Enver. Does he have fifteen thousand job offers yet?

For all the explosives strapped to Boyd (waaaah!), that building was still surprisingly intact...

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

This felt like that sort of series finale, except that there's actually a whole other chapter left.

Yes, that was how I felt about this. It was a bit of a let-down. As a season finale, if there were many more seasons left of the series, it would have been pretty good (despite the plot holes). As resolution to the 'Who is Rossum?' arc, it was disappointing. Not overwhelmingly exciting - despite some excellent moments.

I didn't think Dollhouse would make me cry, but doll!Boyd teared me right up.

That was one of those moments.

If I'm not looking at the screen I can't tell the difference between Topher and Victor!Topher.

How incredible was Enver's performance? Even though I wasn't sure what the point of making him Topher again was, really, plot-wise. As much as it was fun.

Amy Acker is so great. And strangely hot in a suit

Mmm-hmm. Although at times I was having trouble believing the character. Possibly that comes from the very concept of a character that isn't real. The evil felt stereotypical, but then of course it would have done. Didn't work for me, all the same.

It seemed like a big oversight on Adele's part to bring a doll with sleeper programming with on their mission.

I wondered about that. And then I wondered if Boyd had persuaded her to do so. But if that was case, it would have felt like less of a plot hole if they'd said so.

I feel - I know - there's so much to it that what's on the surface. The whole how our emotions, trust and knowledge is constructed in modernity.

Yes! There's a lot of this to reflect upon here.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Also, Clyde seemed like a decent guy in the Attic. I suppose that was only because he'd been in the Attic a while.

I thought that Attic!Clyde made a comment that the reason he was sent to the Attic was because he'd had second thoughts about what Rossum was doing. The Doll!Clydes had been "enhanced" to remove the new-found conscience.

Even though I wasn't sure what the point of making him Topher again was, really, plot-wise.

Only Topher knew about the secret video camera and how to access it.

I guess Topher did not have time to post a note saying "Video Camera over thataway. Press the red and yellow buttons to play footage."

Yes. That might have been a little less risky. Overall.
