Woe to the fucking wicked.

He just likes slashing.

He made some comment about it making Victor unique, no? I assumed that was the reason for the MO: create an indelible uniqueness, something that can't be overwritten.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Once again I was glad to be unspoiled.

I liked the episode but, was it my cold-blocked ears or was AT really hard to understand at times? I feel like I missed a lot of dialogue this episode.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

He made some comment about it making Victor unique, no? I assumed that was the reason for the MO: create an indelible uniqueness, something that can't be overwritten.

I kept wondering why he didn't slash himself, then.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Hmmm...interesting question. I could see some sort of philosophical "I created myself, but I cannot make myself unique" or "I made myself. Here, let me help you get started." I don't love either of those, though...

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I think Alpha is using his ability to imprint -- so he needs to blend in

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Right. I know that's a/the logistical reason. I'm wondering if there's a philosophical one (or a philosophical justification)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

He knows he's unique, he overcame the imprinting or something, he doesn't need an outward mark, the mark of his uniqueness is to be left on others like a signature. If it helps them find their own uniqueness, well, that's nice, but it's hardly his goal.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Something else I like about this episode - the photo Paul and Loomis pull up at the FBI of Kepler. Alan looks so completely harmless and goofy in that photo.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Okay, I loved Victor. I mean, the actor. I could HEAR Dominic.

I think that Claire is a doll, and that's what he meant by "Whiskey". I mean, it's NATO phonetic, and it doesn't make any sense that he's asking for a drink.

Why did Alpha need Ballard to get him into the Dollhouse? He already knew how to get in and how to manipulate the security system to get himself out. He didn't need Ballard, except possibly as a distraction.

I think that he was going to use Ballard as a decoy so that Ballard would be blamed when Caroline left.

That was Amy Acker, though. The Whiskey comments were to Adelle, right?

Adele was the one who covered by saying "he wants a drink"

Well I mean if you work backwards if Victor is now all scarred up, how can he fulfill the rest of his contract?

maybe now they have the imprint of a plastic surgeon and they can take care of it now.

Oh wait, but he also slashed the real Stephen Kepler.

He had a lot of body slashes, not so many in the face. The dolls were all face oriented.

I wonder if Alpha was originally a serial killer or violent criminal and they used him as a experiment for the dollhouse. Kind of like a dirty dozen thing.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Actually, just did a rewatch and Claire was the one who said "he wants a drink instead" and Adele said "I'm not surprised". Interesting.
