I don't know...DK comment threads are long and daunting so I haven't read all of it.And have I mentioned today how much I hate liberals who think they are pious because they haven't followed a TV show in ten years? Because I do. Ass them in their free-range, dolphin-safe, community activist ears. Because if you don't read a book for ten years, you're ignorant. If you don't see a movie for ten years, it probably says something a bit sad about your social life. But television as a medium gets all the blame for every bit of crap that is now, or has ever been, on it. And I don't think it's right, especially given the evolution that came with cable and whatnot.(And mostly? I think it's incredibly self-righteous to counter "Have you seen "The Wire"? with a comment like "No, I actually have a REAL life where I talk to my wife and children, thanks.")
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
That is an interesting theory. It makes sense. But it does rather make me want to slap someone.
I thought this was an interesting theory.
If I follow it to the conclusion my feeble brain came to, then it seems that Show wants that I should stop watching it and go do something better with my time.
Is that a reference to Melly's speaking style?
I think so. She said something this episode, I forget what it was, some kind of play on words I think. Anyway it reminded me of Tara.

So it could be considered a resounding success?

Adorabubble? Because I would have dumped her right there, myself. Obsession with the Dollhouse aside.
I noticed Echo never poked through her imprint this week. I wonder if the imprint is harder to overcome if it comes from a single source.
If that were true, Joss is even worse at PR than David Simon. Which I thought a physical impossibility. (Simon famously made the decision not to promote the fact that some of the hot guys on "The Wire" didn't always wear a whole lot in favor of using words like "zeitgeist" and calling the American Dream a "Ponzi Scheme". very smart. The way to sell a show continually on the brink of cancellation? NSM.
Laga,
after the massive reset, she's not supposed to poke through anymore.

Is this from the show, or official? Because I thought it was part of the show premise.
Not that I'm bothered either way--good storytelling can still be done, if they're up to it. I'm just surprised that what we were told was the pitch is so soon no longer it.
Then again, it would put pay to the argument that Echo could never break all the way free, because it would violate the stated premise of the show. Makes me wonder what we know about the stated premise, and how much Joss cares what it is.
