"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

It was a weird episode. Caroline-manque's storyline interested me, and I like how consistent it was with what we've seen before (right down to the lack of a clear exit strategy). November's was kinda meh -- at least it gives a reason, which I like. Sierra's... wow. It definitely points up the EVIL EVIL EVIL, especially as she'll presumably be sent back to him again. And the fact that they're not all volunteers.

Thing is, I'm okay with it being evil, even with semi-sympathetic characters who just aren't questioning enough... I'm just afraid of it having the Spike-in-Season-? problem of sometimes-Evil inconsistency.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I was thinking about this. Actually, none of them are volunteers. They seem to be put in a situation of imprisonment, and given the option to "choose" to be a doll. Don't know if that counts as volunteering. And what happens if the person is ugly?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Ugly Dolls

That's what Dollhouse: UK would look like.

I think I'm going to close Dollverse. The ick is too much for me. I'm trying to work out if it's okay to say something about it on the way out of the room, or if I'll look like an ass.

Well, shit. I have to say, I would happily trade away Dollhouse to get another season of Sarah Connor Chronicles. At least based on what I've seen of DH to date. In part because SCC is doing some stuff that's really interesting, in ways I haven't seen any television do. It's a kind of creativity I wish could be fostered.

I knew some SCC fans would feel this way, but I don't think that's the equation. (Dollhouse in; Sarah out.) (Flashback to Dark Angel v. Firefly.)

I think it's more that Fox is willing to go two seasons to see if a show can grow an audience and that's it. I'm surprised that Dollhouse is going to be picked up. And I know it looks like one is surviving at the other's expense. But I don't think SCC was going to a third season anyway. In fact, I think some of SCC's survival depended on pairing it with Dollhouse this year.

No, I don't either.

But I would still do it! If it got me more SCC!
