Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I think Worf had better luck with story lines on DS9.
Although I have to say that I prefer DS9 to TNG because there was so much story telling and character development that was just absent in TNG.
DS9 was plain arcier. And darker. And the good stuff was more spread around. If you weren't called Picard or Data on TNG, you got kinda shafted.

Ah, Garak! At least I think that's how it was spelled. Even guest stars got great arcs. And Gul D'Kat (again, sp?) was one of the best complex villains ever.
I thought Picard kinda got shafted to. He's tortured by the Romulans and I don't think it was every really talked about again.
DS9 was the best of the franchise, hands down.

Well, I'll always have an enormous soft spot for TOS, but DS9 is the only one I'd set out to re-watch in it's entirety for reasons other than nostalgia (though I'd probably avoid a bunch of the season one shows when they were shakily finding their legs).
Kickass Cupcakes is doing a co-promotion with the film Kick-Ass (ha!). The kid who plays Hit Girl will be at the Davis Square store this Thursday from 6-8pm.
Apparently, there was a "miscommunication". No Chloe. There was a girl there wearing a tight Kick-Ass t-shirt and red short-shorts, but she was most certainly not 13. I got a free cupcake so it wasn't a total bust.
Aw, too bad. But free cupcake!
