Worf had one, very guttural, note. Crusher, yeah, boring, but I don't think she was more boring than Worf, save he got fight scenes.
Picard, OTOH, got screen time. He got to count lights, and play the flute. Data got to explore the nature of humanity. I hated Data, but he definitely had "stuff" to work with. Worf, not much of a challenge.

That was a good role. Worf was just another angry black Klingon, like most of them were in the new incarnation. I don't see anything special or challenging about him.
Better than a drug dealer doesn't mean good. There are still other stereotypes.

I'm only noting that if you're a black actor a large portion of the job opportunities you get will be as a street criminal.
So while grumpy black Klingon might seem cliche to you, at least it's different from street punk/pimp/dealer/gangsta.

Props and all, but I thought that guy was a terrible actor. Pretty as hell, but the acting was baaaad.
