A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. brillig

His delight at seeing Scotty was wonderful, and it was all in the eyes and that very faint smile. "I have been and always will be your friend" made me misty-eyed, as did the "Space, the final frontier" at the end.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm worried that the theme song might be the worst thing about Quantum of Solace, and worried that it's not.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Are you watching it now? Just stop.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wait, this bit has half-naked men.

And now there's a giant eyeball.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

is the eyeball looking at the men?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought it was a half decent essay. Not a patch on Casino Royale, though.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I was ok with QoS. I can put up with a lot for Daniel Craig.

Because books.

I fell asleep during QoS. It was really disappointing to me given how much I loved Casino Royale.

No. The eyeball was scenery in a production of Tosca, and I guess the half-naked men were opera singers. However unlikely that seems.

I am enjoying the scenery in the movie, having been to Sienna and heard about Bregenz.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I thought the pacing was much better in QoS, myself.
