We're proud to say that the Class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We saw "The Overnight" tonight. Really charming and some wonderful performances. Also, male frontal nudity galore--even though the penises (for plot reasons) were prosthetics. If it shows near you an you like a sexy and surprisingly tender relationship comedy--go! Also, I am in love with Adam Scott now.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Fun Google Doodle today.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So that's where all the writers I liked at AVClub went. And are now unemployed.

RIP Omar Sharif.

Oh. Sad. My main association with him is that my dad always said my mom had a crush on him, and my mom said he reminded her of my dad, but that did make me fond of him. And I used to read his bridge columns.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

He had a heck of a film career, and was a heckuva good-looking man. Seems he was a good person too. RIP Mr. Sharif. A fine life.

Compassionately intolerant

He was also a deadly, professional bridge and backgammon player. Must have had a mind like a steel trap.

Hey, anyone want to go see Fury Road at the Parkway Theater [that's Theater not Tavern, self. Just because they sell beer does not make them a tavern] with me on Tuesday?
