He had a heck of a film career, and was a heckuva good-looking man. Seems he was a good person too. RIP Mr. Sharif. A fine life.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Hey, anyone want to go see Fury Road at the Parkway Theater [that's Theater not Tavern, self. Just because they sell beer does not make them a tavern] with me on Tuesday?
Oh, I might be able to do that! It would be fun to see Mad Max with beer.
Awesome! I will go regardless because I still haven't seen it but it would be swell to have company.
OK, how have we not shared the Comic Con Star Wars reel yet?

I really didn't want to be excited about another Star Wars movie, but they're really starting to get to me. Practical effects!
I have been all manner of BOO!! (hear that in Carol Kane's voice in The Princess Bride) since the moment I heard about the new movies.
Today changed all that.
I am now breathless with anticipation!
I am very happy for all of my friends who are Star Wars fans. That behind the scenes thing was awesome.
(I like the original movies, but they have never really been a linchpin of my fannish life.)
