"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

FYI: There was a color remake of On the Beach at some point.

There was?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So I finally finally watched Waitress tonight, in which Nathan Fillion is an adulterous gynecologist. (Although a very cute one.)

For a movie about adultery (among other things), it's remarkably hopeful. And mildly surprising, although when I got to the end I could see that of course it had to go there.

Still, that was fairly charming, and I'm sad all over again about Adrienne Shelly's death.

Ugh. One of the most horrifically random and pointless murders I've ever heard of. It still makes me cringe and have horrible death penalty fantasies even though I'm a true non-believer in that particular punishment. She was so wonderful in those early Hal Hartley movies. I still need to see Waitress, though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I would highly recommend seeing it.

Hey. New board.

Just... if you know a good place to get pie, it might be a good idea to watch it at a time they will be open when you finish the movie.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just saw What We Do in the Shadows a totally hilarious and charming film about vampires in New Zealand, made by Jermaine Clement (half of Flight of the Conchords) and the unknown to me, but now a total crush, Taika Watiti. If it's near you, go see it! I can't imagine a Buffista not enjoying the hell out of it,

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for the rec, Scrappy, I was wondering about that one.

Saw it Friday. Randomly laughed out loud throughout the weekend thinking of the funniest lines.
