I am the fly who dreams of the spider

On another shallow note as I rewatch Snowpiercer: CE has beautiful beard grain, or whatever you call the way facial hair grows on a mans jaw.

So I saw Lucy. Kind of disappointed. Not nearly as much action as the trailers lead you to believe. Tries to be deep, kinda misses.

Saw the Hobbit trailer. Loved that they used the Merry's song from Minas Tirith.

CJ was EXTREMELY excited about this fact. Made me watch the trailer as soon as I finished work and he was literally jumping up and down with excitement. My 18 year old geek boy. Gotta love him.

Epic - sorry to hear that about Lucy. I was very curious about that one.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Way to go, Paramount.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Classy.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

If you hate the end of 2001, you will hate the end of Lucy.

That said, it's still nice to see an SF movie that

1. Has a female main character, who moves the plot by her actions,

2. Passes the Bechdel test multiple times, and

3. Has a much more positive view of superhumanity than Transcendence.

Maybe see it at a matinee? I saw it at the $8 theater, so I'm pretty okay with it. But yeah, not nearly so awesome as hoped.

Note to, I think, -t: Every time they say "only using 10% (& etc.) of the brain's capacity," you think think to yourself "at one time", and it's less painful. "Humans only use 10% of the brain's capacity (at one time)."

I did notice that it passed the Bechdel test, though. Kinda surprising with how few women are in it, but they did.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

"at one time"

We have a word for using a lot of your brain at one time. That word is "seizure"
