Because books.

Olive skin isn't just one tone, though. Just like any other kind of skin. It's a range.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

To me it is an undertone- like blue, pink or yellow. Except green. Like plei said, and I learned it from doing stage makeup. But I accept that that isn't the generally accepted definition

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But I accept that that isn't the generally accepted definition

Yeah, but it was until really recently, damn it.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

...I was the third choice.

Who were the other two?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I've always thought of olive as an undertone too, and I know jack shit about make-up. Okay, not quite jack shit, but honestly everything I know about make-up I learned from buffistas.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

why does his face seesaw in puffiness so?

Generally a sign of alcoholism. You can chart how much Alex Baldwin or Matthew Perry were drinking at any point in their careers by how puffy they looked.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Olive skin isn't just one tone, though. Just like any other kind of skin. It's a range.

Well, then I don't understand undertones, because Banderas and Turturro look markedly different to me. Banderas is light brown. Turturro is pink. I stand by "I see no similarity".

Maybe my brain is only big enough to distinguish between high yellow and redbone and spot octoroons at 40 paces, but both "olive" and "blond" are oft useless for me.

Okay, I image googled. If this [link] is olive, I get it. Ish. Because I don't get this [link] And that's not undertone, that's a tan or image reproduction differences to me.

Oh, and I take back what I said about "The Turturros": [link] -- I see that as different from "factory white."

I think olive is one of those things that's easier to see in person than in a photo.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have olive skin though most people wouldn't pick that out unless they compared my skin color to someone who has more pink or blue undertones.

Told my boss I was going down to minimal hours for the next few days. The stress of the pain and trying to get my hours in just isn't worth . Luckily we are mid-month and it isn't a big impact on my projects.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My son objects to black, white, and yellow as descriptors of skin color. He said the names should be brown, tan, and pink. And then Franny corrected him and said it should be peach, not pink.
