'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

But he has to make the Haunted Mansion movie first. Because my movie needs take priority, obviously, and I'm wary about the notion of Sandman movie, anyway.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yes, this. And which storyline? Even if it's just drawn from Preludes & Nocturnes - that book is so complex, you could make a full movie about, say, the Dee storyline alone. (Though, hey, if they use that, Cillian Murphy could make a cameo.) Director-wise, I think Jamin Winans [link] would be a good choice.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yes, exactly. I would much rather see HBO or someone turn it into a TV series than trying to make it fit into a feature film.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I read a script that Neil Gaiman did, and I thought that would have made a pretty good movie.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Guillermo Del Toro would be a great director for a Sandman project.

Cuaron, sez me.

Hey. New board.

I think the key is making a small movie in the universe that isn't necessarily any story from the comic. Which is basically the key to making ANY good comic book movie.

I would see del Toro or Cuaron do it.

We're fantasy casting over on my brother's FB wall.

So far my favorite picks are SWINTON for Desire (of course), Luna Lovegood as Delerium (I think I stole that from Hec?), and Tom Mison as Dream.

Chris Hemsworth was suggested for Destruction, but that's a bit on the nose. Likewise Patrick Stewart as Destiny.

Also I want Karl Urban as Hob Gadling.

This needs to be in my eyeballs NOW.

Would Idris Elba as Destruction be too on the nose, as well? Rory Kinnear, perhaps.

Because books.

I'll take Idris Elba on my nose. Or my elbow, or anywhere he'd like to be, quite honestly.

Who cares more Idris Elba yes yes yes!

I just realized James Earl Jones should be Destiny.
