This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

History shows again and again how Nature points up the folly of man

I have high hopes for new Godzilla as well!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Also, I miss the red trunks.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I don't actually have a huge problem with the end of the Zod fight, character-wise. The fact that they end up in that situation is stupid, bad writing.

That's pretty much the worst part. From what I've heard, I can think of six or seven different ways they could have earned it. They just didn't.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

MoS is on the AV Club's list of worst movies of 2013.

Have any of you seen the others on the list? I have only seen one.

brillig

I saw Planes and quite enjoyed it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've only seen Man of Steel. I didn't hate it walking out of the theatre (my first impression was merely that it was loud and boring), but the more I thought about it the more things I found to dislike.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

My take on MoS was that it was a Superman movie done with a Miracleman aesthetic.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Girl, the movie gets worse. So bad. But there are people here who liked it so I will pipe down.

I actually really liked the movie overall, but agree completely about Jonathan Kent. I never thought I'd say that the Bo Duke version was better than someone else's...

Ann, that's a ferret.

Any movie that features Henry Cavill shirtless doesn't belong on a 15 worst list.

I saw Planes at a drive-in, with Despicable Me 2 as the second feature. It felt like something my hypothetical 9-year-old might enjoy, but the message part was too obvious for my taste.

On another topic, has anyone else seen Cockneys vs. Zombies? Zombie invasion of London's East End, played for maximum gore and quite a bit of humor. Plus bonus Honor Blackman!
