So is it worse that there was instant full penetration in Brokeback Mountain or that this movie says it has to hurt: [link] ?
I think it's a good thing if there's more gay sex scenes, period. They don't all have to be good, they don't have to all get it right. Lord knows there's tons of unrealistic straight sex scenes out there.
Also this?
I'm just disappointed that Dan didn't do his own research. Don't take someone else's word, dude! It's just a sphinctre and a small courgette. Oh, and Crisco.
Impossible to not visualize. Thanks ita.
Was I the only one who had to look up "courgette"?
You don't read enough Harry Potter fic, Amy. It's educational!
Was I the only one who had to look up "courgette"?
I have never heard of it, and I am not looking it up.
Courgette, in itself, is not a dirty word; it is the British term for zucchini. In *context*...
Tom, those were great. I'm not getting this one, though:
A rogue botanist uncovers the truth about long- and short-level stamen length in rhododendrons. She is brutally silenced by the Illuminati.
I am tempted to call that "LIttle Shop of Horrors", but that's a joke.
They don't all have to be good, they don't have to all get it right.
But I do get that the gay men sex==anal sex==painful or unpleasant is, intentionally or not, stigmatising a group of people, including the ones that have no intention of having anal sex.
The director is the one presenting it as an either/or.
Yeah, you have a point ita, I won't disagree there. But just because that's where mainstream films start, it doesn't mean they have to end there. There have already been gay sex =/= painful depictions on film, but I'm thinking art films, not big movies.
