Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

It's my pick for the scariest of all the J-horror imports in recent years

Wow. Really? Yeah, maybe I wasn't in the mood for it? I thought it was kind of boring.

Hey. New board.

Ju-on did not scare me even close to as much as Ringu. And that was after watching the American version of Ringu so I was somewhat prepared for some of the creepy bits.

Admittedly, I may have bad taste because I actually preferred the American version of The Ring. And The Grudge, for that matter, though again I found The Ring creepier.

I just realized I never say Let Me In, despite good reviews, love for the original, and Chloe Grace Moretz. I blame my horror-averse wife, dangit.

I super love Let the Right One In. And I think Let Me In is still very good, but not as amazing as the original.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I saw "The Bling Ring" - talk about moving from 1 horror to another. It was amusing and I like the director's style. The movie wasn't about anything though. Like I felt the movie didn't say much about the people or about the society that produces these people.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't like the original chibi vampire movie, so I bailed on the second. True to the spirit didn't sound like they'd fix it.

I had to take a break from the 2012 Anna Karenina to read about the costumes. They're driving me nuts. I guess people don't want to be the V&A museum, but still...I find it really distracting when people aren't observing any clear level of nudity taboo or methods of displaying opulence or general codes. I mean--I don't have to understand the code, but I want more of one than 50s bodice, accurate silhouettes, Anna most 50s, less 50s as you spiral out from her...except for that one chick, yadda, yadda.

I'm sure it was fun to design, fun to wear, but it's distracting the fun out of me to watch.

I have had it up to here with science fiction fans who think there's just one Ashmore boy, or who don't know who Joe Morton is.

We need to have standards, dammit!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Not sure who any Ashmore is, but Joe Morton? Rilly?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Not sure who any Ashmore is

Shawn Ashmore = Iceman. Aaron Ashmore = Icetwin, a.k.a. Troy Vandegraff, a.k.a. Jimmy Olsen.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

See, if we have standards, I will not meet them.

Which maybe is okay, I'm a dilettante at fannishness at best.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

What about if I know there's 2 Ashmores, but can NEVEREVER remember which one is which? Is that an acceptable (if not exemplary) standard?

I do know who Joe Morton is, FTR.
