I have no complaints about the Hitchhiker's we got, but I now have a possibly insatiable desire to see what Edgar Wright could do with Douglas Adams. It hurts my brain a little to imagine.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I agree - a Wright/Pegg/Frost Hitchhikers would have been something to see -don't get me wrong.
I want to live in parallel universes DAMMIT!!!! And be able to switch back and forth and enjoy both.
I'd take that over flying cars anyday.

Your parallel universe could have flying cars. A Wright/Pegg/Frost Hitchhikers, and flying cars. And no Carrot Top. That could be an option.
And no shrimp?
I think I'd get really confused, switching back and forth between parallel universes. Hell, I get confused switching rooms in my house. What did I come in here for? Was it shrimp? Is this where the shrimp are?
I never have problems losing track of shrimp, but that's probably because the answer to the question of where they are is usually "in my belly."

omg, totally me.
I saw In A World last night and really enjoyed it. Funny, loaded with complicated, believable relationships and charming as hell. Written and directed by a woman, too. A lovely little movie.
TCM has "Psycho" on now. They are doing a Hitchcock marathon.
I just turned it on!
