On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Someone travels back from the future and blows up Tatooine prior to Episode IV?

Matt Taibbi's review of Zero Dark Thirty. He thinks is was great as movie, but that it is bullshit to say it was a depiction rather than an endorsement of torture.

I have not seen the film, so I will leave comments on this review to those who have.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Aw, damn, Matt Taibi--I really don't need to fancy you anymore, but you quote Philip Marlowe and I totally do. Bastard.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why are these old guys I dislike making "I'm too old for this shit" movies, but casting people I like?

Jason Momoa looks *so* hot with that axe, but I'm clearly 100% on his puppy-kicking Scrabble-cheating side. PRETTY.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Just got back from Hansel & Gretel. It was fun, but not $9.50 for a matinee showing fun. I'd recommend people catch it on DVD if they're interested in it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sounds like a SyFy movie.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds like Van Helsing.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Are Jeremy Renner's arms in it?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That is Jeremy Renner in it? Huh. I thought I was imagining things from the commercials I fast-forwarded through.
