We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Have y'all seen the Honest Trailer for Avengers? Pretty funny, too. (have not seen Prometheus, myself) [link]

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I would like to report that we are watching Wrath of the Titans, and it is HILARIOUS.

Thrive to spite them

One of the local movie theaters does Throwback Thursdays and I missed my chance to see Beetlejuice! It was this Thursday. Next week is the Shining.

Hephasteus just told Perseus to "shut it."

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Just got back from Argo.

That was a lot of tension for something where I knew going in how it ended.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Argo was amazing, I thought. Definite nits to pick, but overall I was really impressed.

Skyfall is also pretty amazing, which was a great relief after Quantum of Boredom. But this movie gets it right - the action is AWESOME (I'm not supposed to give spoilers, but it's a James Bond film, so I don't think it spoils anything to say some of the action scenes are chases and some of the chases are on motorcycles and that some of the motorcycles go places that motorcycles do not normally go), and there is just the right mix of old-campy-bond and new-serious-Bond. The quips are well-placed and actually funny!

Because it's the franchise's 50th anniversary, there are all kinds of winks and nods to classic Bondisms. (I think maybe Javier Bardem's hair is supposed to be a nod to Blofeld's cat...)

Even the song is good! Adele FTW!

I recommend seeing it in the biggest theater possible. It's not IMAX (or 3D, thank god) but there are certain scenes that just cry out for a ginormous screen.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I also dug Argo. It really grabs you and doesn't let go.

I saw Argo and it was really really good. Edge of my seat tension and good pacing. I wonder what kind of Oscar nominations it will get. It seems like it should get some.
