I'm not sure how the Queen is defeated: it might be one of the "she flew into a rage so great she burned herself up" moments.
The Queen is invited to the wedding of the prince and his new bride, not realizing that the new bride is Snow White. At the wedding, a pair of heated iron shoes are brought out with tongs, and the Queen is forced to wear them and dance until she dies.

I was so excited as a child to find one of the big collections of Grimm's fairy tales with the proper gruesome endings. I brought it home from the library, and my mom was all "Awwww, fairy tales! Not ghosts or vampires!"
My dad, however, laughed, and told me to have fun.
