You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

imdb says that in the movies, Padma and Parvati are both Griffindors. aw.

But that's WRONG. Pfeh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This Transformers review leads with Alan Tudyk, and is illustrated with a picture of Wash: [link]

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I want to marry that review and have its little pull-quote babies.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That is a great review! I still have no desire to see the movie, but I'm glad the writer did.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I had a startling revelation last night. At this point in my life I am more of a Harry Potter fan than a Star Wars fan. So I went out and bought my tix for HP7ii today to celebrate. The midnight show is only $6 at my local theatre!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

True stories of animal actors in movies. They're more positive than negative.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The Atlantic review of Transformers is intense.

He considers this a really sexist film and did not enjoy the experience.

Didn't take long to invoke Moff's Law in the comments, did it?

Oh, that's IO9 user Moff, not The Moff.

move out and draw fire

Just got out of I Cars 2. I didn't hate it. Storywise it wasn't any worse than the first one, and they were just as creative if not more so with the carification of the world.

A couple of the nods to other Pixar films made me laugh, and Mal's currently running around pretending to be a secret agent like Finn MCMissile.

Sadly, the two Cars toys I'd buy, the Popemobile with Popemobilemobile and the Queen, I haven't seen for sale.
