Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

There's also X-Men: First Class.

My guess is that Captain America & X-Men will do well, and that Green Lantern & Thor won't. Partly just because of the schedule; there are also pirates and giant robots and wizards and even a couple of non-franchise movies on the calendar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I do think Captain America has the edge over Green Lantern. Thor's getting good reviews so far, but it's kind of a random pick of a player.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Robert Downey Jr. is so very much one of those men who get much more attractive as they age.

See also: Colin Firth.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Robert Redford and Sean Connery were, too, until they crossed over into Craggy stage.

Oooh, George Clooney! And Brad Pitt! Seriously, young Brad Pitt was just sort of generically pretty, like an unstamped penny. Redford was like that, too (and allow me to point out again how creepy it was that Pitt was a dead ringer for Redford in A River Runs Through It). But then they got older, and BAM!

Because books.

They cast Katniss and Prim's mom. I think she'll be perfect.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ooooh! That's the best casting news I have heard yet.

I beg to differ. I've been a fan of Colin's since he turned up in Another Country and Dutch Girls in quick succession in about 1985, and he was already quite attractive enough then. (I saw Dutch Girls with a room full of teenage girls and there were audible gasps). In fact I think the slightly younger, leaner look suits him better.

Clooney though, definitely.
