Yeah, after reading that I don't think I'll be seeing Sucker Punch. Or maybe I'll wait for Netfix.
He's a talking lizard that isn't selling car insurance!
Good on them for fighting that stereotype.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Sucker Punch got the first 0-star review of the year from the Chicago Tribune.
I'm glad I read the spoiler at the end of Annalee's review. I would have been spitting nails if I had paid money and saw that happen at the very end of the movie.
Apparently she didn't spoil the ending, as she revealed to some people complaining about it.
THERE'S MORE. And possibly worse.
I'm off to go see it! Maybe I will be the one person who likes it.
MAYBE.

Oh god damn. Yeah, I'll just stick to the stills of chicks in steampunk gear using big guns.
I'm so disappointed. I wanted it to be more, but I had no idea Snyder was going there with the ending. I knew the plot was going to have problems, but blech.
Entertainment wEekly had said it was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest + Brazil. That was way more positive than Girl, Interrupted + Burlesque.
Edit after reading the Slant review: or 300 + Gunsmith Cats.
Prediction: it will do just fine at the box.
My thought upon first seeing the trailers was The Matrix retold starring the hookers from Sin City.
