also don't get Andrew Garfield not getting the Supporting Actor nom for The Social Network
Oh, crap, I didn't notice that! That is a surprise. Although I was distracted by John Hawkes. I haven't seen
Winter's Bone,
but I loved him in
Deadwood,
so I'm happy for him.

Sol Star! Oh, that one's moving up in my queue.
Do kids ever get a shot at the main actor award?
I can't see why not. Tatum O'Neal won Best Supporting Actress for Paper Moon when she was 10.
Hailee should be up for Best Actress, I agree.
And Jodie Foster was nominated at fourteen for
Taxi Driver,
but I assume that was Supporting, too.
I think she means a Best Actor rather than Supporting Actor. The only child to win a Best was an honorary one given to Shirley Temple and it was a miniature.
Anna Paquin won a Supporting Oscar for
The Piano.
And what happened to her career after that, huh? Oh yeah, hit cable show.
Keisha Castle-Hughes was nominated for Best Actress for Whale Rider.
