So my neighbor, who is 6 and went as yellow-spandex Wolverine for Halloween last year, really wants to go see the movie. He asked me if I'd take him (apparently the fact that I was the only adult who correctly identified his costume stuck).
I said I'd have to get permission from his parents. And there's no way I'm taking my own kid.
And the whole conversation in here about looking to other adults for abetting made me laugh wryly.
There's a lot more violence and killing than I'd be comfortable letting a 6 year-old see, even if the vast majority of it was miraculously free of blood.
This looks pretty neat--a trailer for a fan-made 40-minute long film called The Hunt for Gollum, which is now available for viewing online (follow the link below the trailer).
Just finished watching the film--quite good indeed!! For 3000 pounds, they got a lot of movie on the computer monitor.
I did not know about this:

Guy Ritchie directing a Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes, Jude Law as Watson, and Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler.
I like Guy's movies. I love Holmes. I think I'll take a chance on this.
I just heard that Bruckheimer's making a Lone Ranger movie, with Johnny Depp as Tonto. I'm wavering between appalled and conflicted. [link]
OMG that sounds like a straight up clusterfuck.
It sounds like something Vincent Chase said no to, is what it sounds like.
Like a parody film.
And much as I like Johnny Depp, I would think you'd need more than a Cherokee Great-great to play Tonto.
Bradley Cooper may get cast as Green Lantern.
I approve of Bradley Cooper's being in things.
