I did not know about this:

Guy Ritchie directing a Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes, Jude Law as Watson, and Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler.

I like Guy's movies. I love Holmes. I think I'll take a chance on this.

move out and draw fire

I just heard that Bruckheimer's making a Lone Ranger movie, with Johnny Depp as Tonto. I'm wavering between appalled and conflicted. [link]

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

OMG that sounds like a straight up clusterfuck.

Always Anti-fascist!

It sounds like something Vincent Chase said no to, is what it sounds like. Like a parody film. And much as I like Johnny Depp, I would think you'd need more than a Cherokee Great-great to play Tonto.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I approve of Bradley Cooper's being in things.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't see him as Hal Jordan, though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, I think for Hal they need someone a little more hard-edged working man. Harrison Ford would have been perfect 30 years ago, of course.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Cor, that's awesome. Happy to see both Forrest Gump and Moulin Rouge make the list, although this haiku gem might be my favorite:

Oh, Robin Williams,
Bearded man with life lessons,
You ruined poetry.
