But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My dad just sent me a link to an NYT article about Islamic Revolution Barbie. It is an interesting read.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah... I was always freaking out the girls I played barbie with by making mine be detectives and reporters. Because I was like "Playing shopping? Seriously?! Although it was fun to afford everything.

Compassionately intolerant

Oh my! Sparky, I'm having the vapors on your behalf. Bartleby has ever only been missing for 5 minutes (probably more like 45 seconds in non-me-freaking time) and I know how horrible THAT felt.

Gracious, I'm glad she's okay.

Librarian Warlord

I hope you feel better, Jilli.

Many thanks for the well wishes for Sass. She's good and we'll get a chance to personally thank a bunch of people in the dog park tonight who helped in the search.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm so glad Sass was found and safe! Frank used to wander off a lot the first year or so I had him. And he wouldn't respond to calls. We used to call him The Great Ignoro.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Peracetic acid sent me off on an entertaining Google. Peracetic acid a pretty powerful disinfectant that kills bacteria and viruses and is used in hospitals and the food industry. One advantage is has is that it degrades to acetic acid and peroxide, so there's no toxic residue. It's fairly nasty at high concentrations because it's corrosive and explodes when heated, but mixing household white vinegar (5% acetic acid) and 3% drugstore peroxide hardly going to yield a high concentration. What's interesting is that one main disinfectant types recommended against anthrax consists of hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and peracetic acid, i.e., hydrogen peroxide mixed with vinegar.

Has anyone heard from Stephanie today? I haven't been able to stop thinking about her and Ellie all day.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

That's it, he's fired. He FINALLY finished the database that he's been working on, I get the damned thing and realize that he's left an entire column BLANK. Why? Because he didn't know what to put in it.

I'm making him finish the project and then I'm firing him.

WTF, Vortex? He didn't even think to ask someone?
