Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

'Conviction (1)'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

how to say "you seem nice, but I have limited time at home, and wish to spend it with people who are already my friends, or in group activities with already-friends and possible new ones, not one-on-one with people who I am not immediately interested in"? Without seeming arrogant and nasty?

I don't think you can say "I already like other people better than I want to know you" without seeming cold. Either you lie about why you have to leave, or you make it through coffee. Perhaps you should switch to tea?

“Not dead yet!”

Yay, Pix, for doing so much!

Cash, I'm so sorry you're being knocked on your ass so unbelievably hard by this thing.

Sorry about the eh, non-date, meara.

Yay, job interviews, Hil.

And I think I've just mini-meara'd

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I got drunk with my girlfriends last night. It was fun; I hadn't done that it quite a long time.

I feel delicate this morning. Not hungover, per se -- DELICATE.

Need more coffee.

Hi, all.

Job interview, wedding stuff, yay.

Coffee.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

(oy, Seattle...third latte today!)

For some reason, this cracks me up. Possibly my lack of coffee. But, ah, yeah. Seattle is the kind of place where being social risks over caffination.

“Not dead yet!”

One of the funniest things to us when we were there, was the absolute proliferation of little java huts just plopped down at the edges of parking lots.

It's the Seattle equivalent of shaved ice huts around here.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

The Girl and I are texting (across continents) ideas for names for my new walker. My other mobility aids have been called Marvin (after the Paranoid Android) and Luna (after Harry Potter's friend), so we have a sci-fi/fantasy theme to follow. We know that the walker is a girl and that she's a bit geeky and an individual.*

Suggestions so far include Susan (after the Gothic Governess), Random (after Arthur Dent's daughter) and Fred (from Angel). We have ruled out Hermione (which doesn't fit) and Kaylee (The Girl has name issues there).

*You can just tell these things after two days of using a mobility aid.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

So I guess "Willow" is out? Or even the full name "Willow Rosenberg" which always cracked me up? Also "Velma"?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Maybe Aeryn or Moya? (assuming you've seen Farscape)

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I was going to suggest Pilot. (Not a girl, but - Pilot --> mobility. So it fits!)
