I'm so glad the penguin story is true. Fay, pretty please ask your friend to write to Snopes. I know I'm not the only geek who loves it when they can trace a legend back to its original (true!) source.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Sparky, I missed your link, can you re-link?

DED!
Rises from DEDness to make grabby hands at the photo key.
It's so good! The Butter Chicken is good too. And the Paneer Tikka
I have lots of them in my freezer! They are pretty good in terms of WW points, as well as being yummy.

Ded! What a combination of cuteness and happiness!
Today I learned that if your vegetable puree includes purple potatoes, your cream of roasted vegetable soup will come out lavender.
Then I felt like a dork for making a roux this morning only to realize afterwards that the leftover yorkshire pudding would probably make a fantastic thickener. I have some veggies left, maybe I'll make soup for breakfast tomorrow, too.
Laga, I think lavender soup would be pretty ... if a bit disconcerting. And for your leftover Yorkshire pudding, how about putting veggies on top, maybe melting some cheese over it all?
I think that it would be a real brain issue for me -- I would be expecting lavender flavor, but getting veggies.
I once made a radish vichyssoise that turned out pink. It was delicious, but very odd.
I've enjoyed some cold fruit soups that were very colorful. So I can't see anything wrong with lavender.
