[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I saw my recent cable bill and found out I'd been charged for a service visit. Do they always charge for service visits? The guy was supposed to come between 4 and 6, and he came right at or after 6. I don't know if that gives me fair cause to bitch.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You should complain if no one told you there was going to be a charge.

I don't pay Charter to come fix things that are wrong with their cable. I end up arguing a lot.

Nora, I'm not sure what the area for that second Oakland apartment is like, but the first one is in a nice area of Rockridge, close to College Avenue. A few blocks from the chocolate cafe!

You should complain if no one told you there was going to be a charge.

No one did! I assumed it would be, you know, part of the fact that I pay for service. Especially since there were outages in my area. The problem itself appeared to be some sort of accidental shutoff that I had nothing to do with.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

One co-worker and one co-worker's child have H1N1.

Whooppee.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Call the billing department and ask to have it removed. If they say they don't have the authority, ask to speak to someone who does.

I'm on LiveChat right now. They are usually very accommodating.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ad for a SF apartment in a neighborhood I like (the Zmayems' if I am not mistaken) for similar money:

Hey, that's right upstairs from our corner market (the one where Matilda torments the owners by begging to stop by and visit them, then coyly refusing to say their names).

And, damn, prices do seem to be slowly crawling downward. Not that we'll ever be able to afford my dream, a 3BR. Those are ludicrously priced, without exception. (no, I lied; there are exceptions, they're just out by the beach, which would add at least a half hour to everyone's commute on a good day).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm not sure I could handle Colorado - I kind of need to be near an ocean.

Part of me just wants to move to Vancouver and park myself outside the Syfy channel offices with a "will edit for food" sandwich board.
