I'm a hot mess when it comes to dishes. If it's just me, I'll leave my dishes until the morning and then I do them all. If I have company, I have to get everything clean before I go to bed. I think it's the quantity of dishes. Anything less than a certain amount barely takes up sink space so it's easy to ignore. Too much and I don't want to have to look at it in the morning. Eh, it works for me.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Actually, vw, I think someone doing your dishes for you is pretty romantic.
Good on you for figuring that out, javachik, not sure DH and I are there. Our tolerance for dirty dishes is fairly similar. not so much for visual chaos.
Today I woke up to frozen pipes, because we forgot to leave the taps dripping, and then I left my taps open a little too much in the bathroom (because I had no way to tell how open it was) and the sink overflowed causing a big water mess from the 3rd floor down to the basement. It's drying up pretty nicely, and I think I can get away with only maybe needing some new drywall or just new paint in a few spots, and it's certainly better than burst pipes which we thought it might be, however two jolts of adrenaline today was two jolts too much. I'm not looking forward to a call from my landlady.
TCG has an engineering degree, yet can't figure out how to get the benadryl out of the premeasured packet. This is both endearing and boggling.

The little spoon-like things? You suck on them!

He couldn't figure out that you had to twist the top off first.
Don't tell him that Olivia knows how to open those by herself.
vw, I don't think it is a small thing that a guy says he will do something and then does not, especially if he is meant to be helping someone who is sick. And it really bugs me that he won't help with clean up even when you specifically ask. I'm sorry CBD is no longer in the running for World's Best Boyfriend, but I'm not sorry you aren't going to be stuck with him for ages, trying to be content with the crumbs he was willing to give.
We did end up talking about it, and he washed a few dishes, though not all of them. Whatever. It's not worth it any more, you know?
Vortex - your student assistant was accepted at your school? He wasn't just waiting for the bus to somewhere and decided to wander in?
Go you sparky.
Long ago kindle discussion, OT: I downloaded stanza for my iPhone. It's great. I'm certain the kindle is better for reading, but I love having everything together and stanza is free and awesome.
Ion: the G key is broked on my keyboard. Sad.
d so glad your pipes didn't burst but oh how annoying.
