My crappy day, let me show you it:
- As I was leaving the house for my glucose test (7:30AM), the power went out.
- It rained like crazy all day (usually I love this as we don't get it often, but not today).
- I felt light-headed and nauseous throughout the test.
- When I got home at 12:30, the power was still out.
- I had to miss 2 afternoon work meetings due to no Internet access. I hate that because I want to be able to work from home more now that I'm in the 3rd trimester. Hopefully they won't hold it against me.
- Power company was out front all afternoon and finally left, saying they needed a part and we were looking at probably 5 more hours of no power.
- I'm at the local library using the Internet and charging my phone. It is hot and full of kids, making me nervous about the old H1N1.
What is too short ZenKitty?
Do You have a hairdresser you trust?
How much do you identify with you hair
You could go in stages, but I'd go for it . the worse that happens, you hate your hair for awhile, and it sounds like that right now.
I swear that my perscription for abuterol was less than a year old. but it is not in the pharmacy data base. so I call the doctor's office - and I get to talk to staff. Which is ok, but really they don't know drugs , they don't understand all the ramifications -- and they don't ask all the right questions. It took 4 phone calls the last time I need to straighten things out . Pleas let this be simple. I'd like to breathe better ( ps -- also slightly peeved that I let my self run out of something that is for EMERGENCIES . Really how big is it to test something once in awhile?)
sorry, Glam. Most libraries are gearing up for the season. We have a billion different ways to do things like disinfect hard surfaces -- Hopefully you won't have to go to the library again -- but ask if they have something to clean the keyboard . You have a good reason to be paranoid.
Oh {{Glam}} and {{beth}}. And everyone who had trouble with things that didn't work properly during the day.
{{Shir}}, partly just because, and partly because you are being nibbled to death by ducks. I don't know if yo have seen the phrase around here before , but we use it to describe the situation you are in now. Lots of annoying things, lots of streessors and not much under you control. Take care of yourself as best you can
Awww, beth. Thank you (and omnis. And everyone who virtually hugged me.)
Shir, your friend was a beautiful and talented young woman - the world's loss is great, because there simply are not enough of those around.

smonster, I'm glad you got your ruched pencil skirt. You are so gonna rock it.
Smonster, congrats on pretty skirt gettin!
Glam, that is indeed of the suck. Hope you're comfortably at home, with internets, soon.
What do you hair experts think? It's really curly; will it end up TOO short? Will I look like a tiny head on a huge body?
I can send you pics of some short curly styles if you like. It was the dominant look of the mid-fifties so there are lots of glamorous shots to consider. Like, Ava Gardner.
Even Jane Russell went short in the mid fifties.
Oh yes, there will be pictures.
Glam and beth, hope your days improve from here, and quickly.
