Dear advisor,
I have a number of deadlines to meet and questions to ask. Please advise as to your availability. I can be flexible. ( Pun intended )
Actually, do you have a phone number? I might cal and leave a message -- some thing like you are concerned, you have left him a number of emails and you haven't heard from him and you are worried.
Hil, can't you give him a call? I would.
The only phone number I have for him is his office number, and he's almost never there. I've tried several times this week stopping by his office, and he wasn't there any of those times.

At this point, I might clarify that I'm worried more about said deadlines than his lack of response.
But it could be just meanie me.
Humm. Can anyone in the office give you a call when he's in, so you'll know when to call him?
Or just leave a dead horse's head on his desk, with a "I feel we grow apart. Something must be done about it. Call me." I'm sure it'll get his attention.
Yes, I think it's time for me to go to bed.
Leave a message on his phone. and it is possible he is sick and left a message on a phone, but didn't fix his email.
My evening was a bit of a bust. My friend was due to come over for pizza and wine, but her colleague's laptop was stolen while she was at work, and she had to stay at work til some ungodly hour to make a statement to the police. Obviously even less fun for her than for me. I ate crisps in lieu of dinner. The Girl is coming home tomorrow, thanks be to Ceiling Cat, and then there will be actual meals again.
There's also some debate among doctors about whether Hypermobility Syndrome and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome - Hypermobility Type are actually the same thing or not, and the classifications have changed several times, and so what I have really depends on what doctor is examining me at the time.
My rheumatologist - who is some kind of world expert on EDS - is of the opinion that EDS Hypermobility (Type III) and HMS are basically the same thing. Except, it's unclear whether I have Type III or Type IV, thanks to an unclear family history. (Confusingly, Type IV also involves hypermobility. Most types of EDS do.)
Hil, I hate physiotherapists and similar who don't know what to do with unusual symptoms/patients. I hope you're able to find one that actually knows what they're doing.
As for doctors not knowing where to look things up - yeah, that's frustrating (if occasionally amusing). There's a certain tone doctors affect with me, which is the giveaway that they have no idea what EDS is. I start saying a lot of "As you know"s at that point. And then I refuse to see the doctor in question ever again. Much fun.
and you might ask around the deptartment -- other people saying - hey your students are looking for you might help.
I have 3 plants to plant - I should go dig holes

No answering machine. He's not sick -- he's been in to teach his classes, but he seems to just be going to the classrooms and then home, without stopping at the office before or after. If he still hasn't responded by Monday, I'm going to go to the classroom when the class is letting out.
