Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Leave a message on his phone. and it is possible he is sick and left a message on a phone, but didn't fix his email.

No answering machine. He's not sick -- he's been in to teach his classes, but he seems to just be going to the classrooms and then home, without stopping at the office before or after. If he still hasn't responded by Monday, I'm going to go to the classroom when the class is letting out.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Oh, can't believe I forgot to say - Kristin, really hope Disney gets their collective rear in gear for you. Smooth-planning-and-maybe-they-throw-in-something-extra-for-your-pains~ma to you.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

If he still hasn't responded by Monday, I'm going to go to the classroom when the class is letting out.

That sounds like about the only option open to you. Also, what is wrong with your advisor? Unbelievable. I hope he gets his act together soon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hil, your advisor needs a kick in the pants. I would totally be waiting for him after class, with folded arms and a death glare. There's no excuse - if he can make it to his classes, he can get to his office or at least check his email.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Hil, would it help to e-mail the head of the department? Or copy the head of the department on the e-mail to your advisor?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Well, shit. I mentioned to my OB that I've had really bad back pain for the last few weeks. She told me some things to do, but said not to use a heating pad. Oops - I've already been using a heating pad. She got an alarmed look and said it could "cook" the baby. Now I'm all worried I've done some damage to him.

Hil, I like Teppy's suggestion if you don't get a good response after class. It's his job to make himself available to you.

I am stuffed on good food and the best pumpkin ice cream ever.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

"Cook the baby"?!?

Yeah, that sounds sooper sciency and doctory and all that.

He's fine. I swears.

GC, buffista parents might know more, but I believe I read that your body would become extremely hot and uncomfortable as a warning if the baby was in distress from the heat.
