[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

I love you guys.

Omnis, I'm so glad to hear your dad is doing better. Fred, I'm so sorry about your kitty.

connie major ma~~~ to your DH.

glad to hear the news about your father, Omnis.

I don't have to many problems with saying no. Maybe is the one that confuses people. when I say I don't know or maybe -- people think I mean no when I mean maybe.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm sorry if this squicks anyone else as bad as it's squicking me, but if I don't get a handle on this I'm going to have hysterics on the drive home, and that does no one any good.

Dear connie, you do what you have to to take care of you - if that means ranting about squicky stuff here, then by all means you do it. How else will you be able to take care of him, if you don't? All my ~ma are belong to you.

Also, I heart the Jilli and StuntHusband show.

God, I love you guys.

I left work early--even though my naive supervisor blinked at me like "Are you sure you're not making this up? Do you really need to leave? We need to make sure your hours are covered." He's such a perfect middle manager, anything outside of work processes just boggles him. Hubby and I went to the dollar movie and watched Night at the Museum II, something utterly mindless.

The surgery will be arthroscopic, so any scars will look like bad acne. Oddly enough, the bacteria could be affecting his gastric system and making his back pain worse. The neurologist has been saying he can't find a reason for the flareups. So we could clear up several things by mounting a Crusade against the Skull Lutherans (which sounds like a strange medieval heretical order--yes, we're in the strange joke stage).

Stay tuned for future freakouts.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Stay tuned for future freakouts.

Freak out as much as you need to. I would be freaked, too. And seriously, the universe needs to lay off y'all.

Our wings are not tired.

That sounds encouraging. {{Connie}}

I hate the phone but have this thing where I remember numbers. Everybody's numbers. People in the office don't look up numbers; they ask me.

There was something else, but I forgot what it was after being distracted by the Jilli and SH show. So, it's all good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I hope so. Go Righteous Scalpels of Cleansing!

Trust my rage

Connie, that is freaky. But it would be cool if it fixes lots of other stuff.

Our 4th fish is dying. Goldfish are supposed to be super hardy but this is #4 in about 10 days. He's covered in ick. Ellie is not really upset but I feel like I took these healthy creatures and have totally failed them. I don't even like them so much but it feels so wasteful.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Huh, talked to dad's gf. If he stops being so stubborn and starts to eat & drink, he could go home Sunday. Turns out, the main reason he was inubated so long, he got pneumonia between check in and being in surgery.

I also talked to my aunt, his older sister. We talked for nearly three hours! She's not taking dads surgery well. I think she's sensing her own mortality or something. And pushing 70 with no kids, she sounds rather lonely. Which might explain the 3 hour call.

I dunno about my family. Nobody wants to call anyone, but when called, will drain your phone battery dry.
