[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Peach and apricot pit and almonds all have some cyanide compounds in them, but you'd have to eat them by the bushel to come to any harm. Cyanide comes from a close relative, the bitter almond, which is grown as an ornamental. Cyanide is one of the things that comes to my mind when people are arguing that "natural is safe."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, I've been feeling that way too. I'm pretty sure it is allergies.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

they should make 3 day weekends with a friday not a monday.

Or if they have to give you Monday off, they should give you Tuesday off as well. And the previous Friday.

Don't apple seeds, too? (I learned that fact from Trixie Belden, thankyouverymuch. I don't know what Obama means by "stay in school," when you can learn SO MUCH from reading girl detective books!)

Teppy, I've been feeling that way too. I'm pretty sure it is allergies.

Hmmm. Maybe I need to switch to Zyrtec again.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aaaauuuugh! The Random Kitten Generator is non-functional.

So now there is nothing for it, but I will have to go to YouTube for a fix of kittens.

Isn't tomorrow a Day Without Cats on the Internet Day? You might want to stock up, Windsparrow.

Steph, me too! Wasn't it Brian that was inadvertantly poisoned by his GF? I still have some of those books.

Steph and Barb, there is/was some kind of low-level persistent virus going around. I felt randomly nauseated without cause for days, then had the tickle in my throat, then the impending sinus doom that never manifested. I finally went to the doc and she confirmed that she'd been seeing about 3 people a day with similar symptoms. So take it easy, drink lots of fluids, etc.

The only good thing about Tuesdays that are Mondays is that the next day is Wednesday.

Yes!!! Because she made Waldorf Salad and didn't take the seeds out of the apples!

I still have some of those books.

I think I have about 15-20 of them.

That makes me feel better. Well, mentally. Physically I still feel low-level crappy.

So take it easy, drink lots of fluids, etc.

My biggest problem is getting enough sleep/rest. I feel like a bad girlfriend going to bed at 11:00 when my night-owl BF stays up until 2:00. Er, I feel like a bad girlfriend because we could be spending quality time together if I was awake, is what I mean. So I push myself to stay up until midnight (where "quality time" = "watching Family Guy reruns") and then feel like ass the next day.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I had that last week. I stayed home on Tuesday, slept it out and felt much better. Then I just attacked it with my usual ginger tea and emergen-c and kicked it in few days.
