Debet, this is highly variable. Some school districts do have a set curriculum that everyone is required to teach to. Sometimes it is as detailed as day-by-day. (There is currently a huge controversy about this in the town I used to inhabit, about a Scott-Foresman reading curriculum for primary.) I suspect there is always *some* room for flexibility/supplementation, but there certainly are set curricula in some areas.
Spike ,'Sleeper'
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Lewis just texted me that he just watched Dhani Harrison playing Beatles Rock Band in the presentation at his conference. Said he looks just like George.
Totally not jealous. Nope. Not a bit.
"But do they want yellow? Hell no!"
IOmemememeN I love this dress: [link] I think it might even look pretty good on me, but even if it were not precisely flattering, it is so gorgeous that wearing it would make me feel fabulous. Alas, I have neither a good reason to acquire it nor the extra money lying around to justify buying it "just because".
Ima go play the lottery.
Shiny dress!
People who teach at the elementary level, I have a question.
I don't teach elementary (I teach middle school), but my experience has been that of flea's. At the 2 districts I have taught in, they are given books and unit topics and told during which weeks they should be teaching the topics. I'm fairly certain they get a lot of curr. material, too.
I teach a subject where there hasn't been a curriculum in place, so I write my own curriculum and materials. It's more work, but I like doing it. I can make sure things are very targeted for my students.
I think it might even look pretty good on me, but even if it were not precisely flattering, it is so gorgeous that wearing it would make me feel fabulous.
1. you are fabulous no matter what you wear
2. I think it would look smashing.
I think it might even look pretty good on me, but even if it were not precisely flattering, it is so gorgeous that wearing it would make me feel fabulous.
I'm a bad influence because I'm the devil on your shoulder whispering, "Get it... it's verra pretty and its prettiness would only be enhanced by you wearing it..."
And what Vortex said.
That is a lovely dress, WindSparrow. I no good at imagining know what will look good on whom, but I was very happy with the dress I ordered from them.
Windsparrow, that dress is gorgeous, and you would command the room in it. Grand sweeping entrance, anyone?
