Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, Sparky, that sucks. I had forgotten about the pregnancy rhinitis (obviously blocked it right out because it was such a misery).

On the plus side, it was one of the very first symptoms to go away after delivery for me. I remember sitting in my hospital bed a few hours after Lillian's birth and thinking, "Huh. I haven't had to grab a tissue to stem the leaks from my nose in HOURS! Cool!"

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ooh, Sparky. You got to be the Heel of Karma. Feels so good--well, when you were right and didn't get listened to.

I can't brane today. I'm having family over on Saturday and making baked ziti, but I need ideas for side dishes. Any ideas?

Sauteed broccoli rabe. A nice salad. Some kind of greens anyway.

TCG's step-mom is making a salad. I think only one or two people coming eat rabe or know what it is. Maybe spinach? They didn't eat green beans last time I made them.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Garlic bread.

Well then it's something new for them to learn! I have no tolerance for picky eaters. As long as you are willing to eat the leftovers.

Just some bread and you'll be fine. Baked ziti is a meal.

Mostly lurking...

P-C, I'm gonna guess that your rental insurance is due to where you live more than anything. My rental insurance is $32 a month, or so, for $20,000, plus a separate small policy to cover my viola.

And sj, yes. Bread, and you'll be fine. Also? Stop worrying! You had so much food out the last time I was there, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to try it all!

Thrive to spite them

I need to get rental insurance. I'll do that next week.

I found out one of my coworker's was robbed last year, her house was broken into while she was out of town, but the thieves only stole her clothes, shoes, and toiletries and left all the electronics, which made it weird (the police said it was probably women). She had insurance but she said it's been hard trying to replace her wardrobe, she has to wait until things are in season and take time to shop. Stuff like that.
