I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, yeah, +1 to me for the risotto. Awesome. I think next time I'll make it with fish, asparagus, and lime juice.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I feel somewhat disappointed that your pizza delivery didn't turn out to be Penthouse Forums fodder. Hmmph.

The two people I'm eating with are kinda cute. The delivery guy might be sharing your disappointment.

OK, the first time I read this I mentally elided the "with". I blame ita.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Dana, what's your tagline from? It makes me laugh every time I read it.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Coincidentlaly, I just had leftover pizza for dinner before signing in here. I am beyond shocked that Dominos is now making pizzas that are actually good—in the past I'd only eaten them because they tended to be cheap and therefore provided for free by someone at work.

It's apparently from a Terry Goodkind book, and deadly serious. The evil chicken is one of fandom_wank's favorite things.

It's dreary and rainy here, but we can't really complain as we need all the rain we can get: [link]

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We're getting snow here now.

I think I'm going to bake corn muffins.

Those two statements may be related. Or maybe not.

Our wings are not tired.

Beth, congrats on no carpet and Matt's job!!

I am on day 4 of a very bad cold/sore throat which sucks because I was supposed to check out a new cool spot in Oaktown with Consuela tonight. Instead, I haven't left the house since Friday night. Steve has been over a few times, to watch The Visitor on the Roku (loving the Roku, btw!) and bring me cough medicine. It's so much easier now that's he's 10 minutes away instead of 35+.

But, aside from missing hangout time with Consuela, being sick has been a largely enjoyable excuse to read and watch dvds, activities I rarely fit in my schedule. Sometimes it's nice to have an excuse to be immensely non-productive.
