Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sigh. I can't help but think that the thing that's wrong isn't the price of *that* house. It's the price of housing in LA (or NY or Seattle or SF etc) that's out of whack.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Nice house ... at that price, in DC, you might be able to get a parking space.

Coding and Sleeping

I could see a house like that going for that price in Kansas City, but only if was located in the right, or wrong depending on your perspective, place.

Wow. That's about half what you'd get for a house like that here, and Northeast Arkansas isn't exactly the land of skyrocketing housing costs.

I wonder what the horrible downside is that's making the owners sell it for a song ? Crumbling foundation or rotted timbers might be a dealbreaker, but psychotic former occupant about to be paroled might be worth taking a chance on...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not just a pretty breast.

Well, this is a good thing:

United to bring call-center jobs back from India

United Airlines plans to stop using an Indian call center to field passenger complaints about in-flight service or other travel issues and will hire 165 customer relations agents in Chicago and Hawaii to handle those duties.

Chicago-based United told its employees Tuesday that as of the end of April, customers who wish to share complaints or praise about a flight will have to do so via email or letter. The nation's No. 3 airline plans to turn off a customer relations phone number.

However, United's call centers will still handle reservations, queries about lost luggage and refunds, said United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski.

I hope someone has a recommendation, because the MP3 player I just bought has horrendous ones that I desperately need to replace.
