Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

Don't get me started on gas costs! I just filled up last night at $1.95.

ETA: And that's the Lake County cost; Cook County is higher, and Chicago city costs are higher yet.

My point was only that I often hear that you have to tip a waiter X because they count on tips as income, regardless of how good or bad the service was.

My answer to that is the bad ones had best seek employment where their flaws won't have an immediate negative effect on their income.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Aims and MM, I'm very sorry. Though I'm a little entertained that where other people get brackets, your announcement prompted a string of copious swearing.

I've only ever heard easy peasy, lemon squeezy from that movie with Shia LeBeouf with the golf.

Wrod.

Edit: Apparently women are bad tippers. I know I am. Maybe it's a "Oh, you're delivering food, I know exactly how hard that is" thing.

I think Obama has started calling them on it, and I hope he continues. I wish he would do it more often, more effectively and more strenuously, though.

I think Friedman school economics is one of the more dangerous and toxic philosophies ever to grace our planet, and it's taken quite a deep root right now.

I genuine don't know enough about Friedman school economics to know if this is true, but I've read that Obama is of that same school. Which would seem bad, if true.

The current press secretary is the son of a former coworker of mine, and looks a lot like her, and I cannot get over it every single time I see him in the news. Every time, I'm all, Yoicks!
