Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

How is it fair to date someone who only needs like, six hours of sleep every night, when I need like, 8.5?

Preach it. The Boy came to bed at 5 goddamn a.m., at which point I was pretty much up for the day, although I tossed and turned for another 90 minutes until my alarm went off.

I know it's probably the Wellbutrin that's fucking up my sleep architecture, but I swear to Christ, I am going to KILL him if he pulls that shit again. (I haven't been able to sleep more than 6 hours a night -- generally LESS -- for about 10 days now, WHICH HE KNOWS, and I'm about to go on a sleep-deprivation-induced rampage.)

Yes, I take Ambien. It puts me to sleep, but there's nothing to be done when I wake up at 5 a.m. and can't fall back asleep and know my alarm is going off at 6:30. Anything I could take would leave me groggy for the rest of the day (trust me, I've tried that route).

He has to return to the Abyss before 1st February?

And it's basically a mealy-mouthed version of Rush's "I hope Obama fails". Wanker. Not that I'm surprised.

Ah, yes. I remember these days. And it was exactly like that- could fall asleep just fine but slept very lightly and couldn't fall back asleep once awoken. What helped for me was taking the extended release flavor all at once first thing in the morning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I would absolutely be ready to kill someone after that long without enough sleep.

Now that I know I have this fever, I understand why I've felt so crappy for a week, but what I would really like is for it to GO AWAY. This weekend proved that taking a sick day wouldn't even help, so I'm soldiering through, but I'm just over it.

Huh. I find 6 hours of sleep pretty much suits me fine. I wish I could always GET 6 hours (4-5 is more my norm, even with the CPAP machine). Different metabolisms for different people, I guess.

I do take the extended-release as soon as I get up. I think it might be an issue with the pharmacokinetics of the generic version being CRAP. I'm probably going to have to ask my doctor to switch me to the brand version.

t gives Frank stink-eye

t which, in my sleep-deprived state, probably just looks like I'm dozing off

When I first switched to XL it was name brand, so you may be on to something there. I've had the generic for the last 6? months and things have been more or less the same as on the Wellbutrin brand though. But I think my system was much more used to things, I was on brand for over a year before then.

But I think my system was much more used to things,

I'm (unfortunately) really sensitive to drug weirdness, so I'm not surprised this is happening. Just frustrated and ready to take a Jim Morrison-level amount of narcotics just to help me sleep for more than 6 goddamn hours. In a row.
