If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So Blago is going on The View today - should be entertaining. For those not following along at home, so far this weekend we've learned that: his arrest was just like the attacks on Pearl Harbor but he knows he can get through all this because Gandhi, King, and Mandela faced similar challenges and triumphed. Also, he had two lawyers, one being the guy who actually got R. Kelly off and one being Some Other Guy. Other Guy, who is apparently behind this "PR" blitz is also apparently the modern Clarence Darrow.

So R. Kelly guy has now quit, meaning that possibly the one person you can't compare Blagojevich to is O.J. Simpson, who at least had the sense not to piss all over F. Lee Bailey et al.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm remembering why I don't usually take cold medicine. I took a Tylenol Cold this morning to clear out my nose before getting on the subway (if my sinuses are too clogged I get motion sick going underground and on elevators) and I feel like my head is about to float away. I can't concentrate on anything and my eyes are having trouble focusing. (This is possibly why I have never done any illegal drugs. If fucking sudafed can make me feel this high, I fear the effects of anything stronger.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy Birthday, Frisco!

Some people like watching cute animals on-line, others are into Bus Tracker. [link]

Norwegians are either utterly fascinated with the comings and goings of CTA buses, or there just aren't enough recreational activities in the land of fiords and Viking ships.

The CTA Bus Tracker Web site has received 15,395 visits since last year from people in Norway or whose computers or personal wireless devices were registered in that country.

snip

Behind Norway in visitor volume was Canada, 3,903 Web hits; followed by "undetermined," 3,676; United Kingdom, 1,497; Germany, 1,022; France, 790; Spain, 507; Japan, 393; and India, 366.

Among the international community, the 129 Filipinos who browsed the Bus Tracker site stayed there the longest, 32 minutes. Surely, their bus would've arrived by then, right?

Art Crawl!!!

Blago is doing all the media he can.

So embarrassing for IL.

Meanwhile, the kitties are awake and INSANELY active. Why is there no sound on the kitty cam?

Wait - the CTA>? Norwegians are following buses in Chicago?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Wait - the CTA>? Norwegians are following buses in Chicago?

Hence the assumption that Norway's cable packages suck ass.

Yep.

The chat board on kitty cam needs to go.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Blago is doing all the media he can.

I admit that I'm amused at his tactic of not being present at his own impeachment procedings.

Now, assuming that he's impeached (because -- good god), he seems like the kind of nutbar who will barricade himself in his office with a shotgun and a case of moonpies and an old cassette of Dark Side of the Moon. Am I right?

Seriously, if he's impeached, he doesn't seem likely to actually, you know, vacate office. So what happens when someone does that? Is that when law enforcement shows up to drag them, kicking and screaming and clutching their case of moonpies, off to jail?

Because I *really* want to see that. It's not just the sleep-dep talking.

Swouncing

Jess and Jessica and Teppy, and, well, everybody who doesn't - I hope you feel better, and soon.

Hopefully, this will cheer you up a bit (and, um, not be considered as spam, even though it's related to the same Facebook application - my sister's - I posted about last week in Press): my oh-so-talented brother wrote up instructions.

I'm just proud to be in the same gene pool, even though I have none of either's talents.

I don't understand how anyone could think it's a good idea to hire Drew Peterson's PR firm.
